Thirty-Five years before he would become a Christian Cornelius the Roman Centurion was ordered along with his fellow police officers by the authorities to kill with the sword every male child two years old and under living in Bethlehem. Mathew 2:16-18. Ten years after he became a Christian, Cornelius the Roman Centurion was ordered by the king to behead the Apostle James for being a Christian. We know that Cornelius would not have carried out the above orders which means that he would have been forced to leave his occupation as a police officer and soldier.
There were true Christians who fought for the North during the Civil war. There were true Christians who fought for the South during the Civil war. Thousands of Christians from the North killed thousands of Christians from the South and thousands of Christians killed from the South killed thousands of Christians from the North.
Both sides enacted laws to justify their positions. Christians from both sides enforced the law of the authorities, the authorities that serve God. Two authorities established by God fighting each other. The Christian in the North was rebelling against the authority of the South and therefore was rebelling against God. The Christian in the South was rebelling against the authority of the North and therefore was rebelling against God. Whose side were you on? In doing so the Church invalidated its own faith by doing to others which it did not want done to itself. The Church accomplishes this by reconciling individuals to God in and through Jesus Christ the true Lord and King of the world. By bringing people together as one in Christ Jesus then the conflicts will disappear. The problem is the Church has brought the dissensions and conflicts of the world into the Body of Christ, the Church. The Church has done this by siding with one worldly position over that of another worldly position. The Church has done this by focusing on self and worldly treasure rather than treasure in heaven. This becomes no more apparent than by lifting up a weapon and killing people for the goals of one nation over that of another. The Word of God says not to become yoked to unbelievers for in doing so the believer becomes led astray from doing God’s will to doing the will of unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 and Galatians 5:9." When a person pledges allegiance to the United States of America he/she is pledging allegiance to the world wide government of the United Nations." Pg. 253. Based upon your rationale any man or group of men can declare Independence and create a sovereign state that separates from the state that currently rules them for any arbitrary reason and upon doing so wage war against their former state through the justification of self-defense. 'Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts.' George Washington

CRITIQUES:
Given the subject matter of this book it has been difficult to next to impossible to find pastors, teachers or theologians willing to support or refute the premise of this book. As you can imagine should any well known American pastor or bible teacher support the basic truths and historical facts put forth in this book he would be summarily alienated and ostracized from his colleagues and followers for going against the grain of the prevailing belief in western society that Christians can be soldiers and cops and labeled UN-American and UN-patriotic. Below is a list of pastors and teachers who were sent of copy of the book anywhere from five to ten months ago. Along with being provided the book it was requested that they explain why Christians can be soldiers and cops contrary to the premise put forth in the book. Presently not one of the pastors or their ministries who have been provided the book have been willing to provide a counter to the premise, the biblical truth expounded upon in the book.
