Counterfeit: "made in imitation of something else with intent to deceive, trick, people."

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

The Pre-tribulation rapture position is one that asserts that the Church will be raptured to Jesus prior to a seven year tribulation period which is initiated when the Antichrist comes to power and makes a seven year covenant with the, "many," usually identified as Israel. This site seeks to inform brothers and sisters in Christ that there is no biblical foundation for the Pre-tribulation rapture doctrine and to warn the same of the persecution that is coming upon them unawares so that we can better prepare for such a time and withstand the deceptions and attacks of the enemy.
ONE: RAPTURE TIMING
Three main passages that Pretribulationists use to justify their position: "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." John 14:2-3 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 The above passages do not convey the rapture's timing in relation to the wrath of God nor the commencement of the tribulation but only that there will be a rapture of the Church and therefore they do not need to be addressed with regards to the timing of the rapture as it commencing prior to the beginning of the tribulation or sometime after. |
