Pre-tribulation Rapture is False The Counterfeit Rapture

Scriptures:
"And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he, (the Antichrist), opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it, (the Antichrist), was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." Rev. 13:4-7 "I beheld, and the same horn, (the Antichrist), made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High." Daniel 7:21-22 & 25 "And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things." Daniel 11:36-38 "And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down. And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practiced, and prospered." Daniel 8:9-12 "For the ships of Chittim shall come against him, (the Antichrist): therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant. And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he, (the Antichrist), corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." Daniel 11:30-31 "And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days." Daniel 12:11 "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)." Mathew 24:15 "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." Mathew 24:21 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:" Mathew 24:29 "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." Mathew 24:30 "And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other, (from the extremities of the heavens to the other extremity of them)." EIGHT: ANTICHRIST IS REVEALED BEFORE THE RAPTURE
"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)." Mathew 24:15 The Church will be present on the earth when the abomination of desolation is revealed in the Holy Place of the rebuilt temple. The timing of this event appears to correspond to Daniel 9:27 when the Antichrist causes the sacrifice to cease in the middle of his 7 year covenant/reign. The Church will continue to exist on earth after the abomination of desolation is erected commencing the Antichrist's 42 month dictatorship over the world. Let's look at the sequence of events: First: We will see the abomination of desolation that is associated with the Antichrist standing in the holy place of the temple of God. Second: Then the great tribulation of the Antichrist's reign begins. We know this to be true for the Antichrist's reign is for 3½ years, for 42 months, from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away and the abomination of desolation is erected in the holy place. Third: Then after the great tribulation the Sun will be darkened and the moon shall not give its light. The earth will be cast into measure darkness. Did you get that, "AFTER the TRIBULATION." Fourth: Then, after the 3½ year great tribulation, the whole world will see Jesus descending from heaven coming on the clouds with power and great glory. Fifth: Then, after the 3½ year great tribulation, and after the world sees Jesus coming to gather His elect from from the four winds and from one end of heaven to the other are we in Christ raptured to him. This fifth event, this last event, is the rapture of the Church which takes place after the abomination of desolation is erected at the holy place of the temple and after the great tribulation has concluded. Pretribulationists refute this finding by citing Revelation 19:11-15 claiming the verses 24:30-31 of Mathew are synonymous with Rev. 19:11-15. "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God." Revelation 19:11-15 If we look closely the event in Revelation 19 is not the same event in Mathew 24:30-31. In Revelation 19:11-15: Jesus in riding a horse Jesus comes with the risen saints who are following Jesus on their own white horses a sword goes forth from Jesus' mouth to smite the nations Jesus issues the wrath of Almighty God. Then: The beast/Antichrist and the kings of the earth and their armies prepare to go to war against Jesus and the saints Rev. 19:19. Jesus and the saints defeat the beast/Antichrist and the kings of the earth and their armies, Rev. 19:20-21. In Mathew 24:30-31 Jesus comes in the clouds Jesus comes with great power and glory All the tribes of the earth mourn when they see Jesus A trumpet sounds, (a call summoning God's people). The angels gather the elect from one end of the sky to the other for they have risen from the earth. It is self-evident that Mth 24:30-31 is the rapture and Rev. 19:11-21 is Jesus coming with his saints. After the 6th bowl of God's wrath is poured out yet prior to the 7th bowl being dispensed the armies of the Antichrist and of the nations of the world are gathered together at Armageddon to prepare for the final battle. "And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon." Rev. 16:16 The final bowl of God's wrath is poured out which produces the biggest worldwide earthquake ever recorded resulting in the leveling of mountains and valleys lifted up followed by a tsunami that will literally wash away every island in the world. Every city will be utterly destroyed from this earthquake. Then 100lb hailstones will fall on men from the sky. The interesting thing is, is that this is the end of God's wrath or we could say God's judgments and yet the final battle between the Antichrist and the nations of the world against the King of Kings and his army has not taken place yet. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. Rev. 16:17-21. When Jesus comes on his horse with His saints the wrath of God will have been completed, Rev. 19:11-21. When Jesus comes on the clouds he comes for His saints, the rapture, and to initiate God's wrath. "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so," Amen." Rev. 1:7 Rev. 1:7 makes it plain that everyone will see Jesus come for his saints, and everyone who was not taken will wail knowing that they are doomed to be subjected to God's wrath. There are no Christians left behind because Christians would not be wailing as if they were doomed. "For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?" 1 Thessalonians 2:19 "Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat" 2 Peter 3:12 "Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." 2 Timiothy 4:8 "while we wait for the blessed hope--the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ," Titus 2:13 Here is another look at the order of events: "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled." Rev. 6:9-11 The saints are still on earth when the sun is darkened and the moon becomes blood. "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places." Rev. 6:12-14 This is the time of the rapture of the Church followed by the wrath of God. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Revelation 6:9-17 Now see how it corresponds to Mathew 24 and 2 Peter. "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." 2 Peter 3:10 The day that Jesus returns as a thief in the night, the heavens will pass away and the earth, even the elements will be burned up. Pretribulationists claim that the world will continue as is after Jesus comes as a thief in the night, most notably the, "Left Behind," series. This veiw is contradicted by 2 Peter 3:10. "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." Mathew 24:29-31 |

Daniel chapter 9:
There are many disputes about Daniel chapter 9 and the prophecy therein concerning the 70 weeks, the rebuilding of Jerusalem, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to bring in everlasting righteousness, the anointing of the most Holy, the Messiah, or Anointed one, who is cut off, the prince who causes the sacrifices and offerings to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations shall make it desolate. Additionally there is great controversy regarding the dates surrounding the fulfillment of these prophecies.
With that said it is not necessary to address the legitimacy of one theory over that of another in order to prove that the Antichrist, the beast, and his image, the abomination that makes desolation will be physically revealed prior to the rapture at some future date. Jesus places the time of the abomination of desolation of Daniel at the time just before his arrival in Mathew 24. Unless the rapture occurred sometime over the last 1,900 the prophecies of Daniel have not been completed.
"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)." Mathew 24:15
There is no historical record among the Jews or Christians of an abomination of desolation standing in the holy place between 25 AD and the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD. Therefore this must be future.
"For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." Mathew 24:21
The tribulation executed upon the Jews in 70 AD and thereafter up to 135 AD was substantial, yet it is clear that it paled in comparison to the two world wars and the Nazi genocide of the 1930s and 1940s and comes no where near a tribulation that must be shortened for if not all flesh would be destroyed:
"And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." Mathew 24:22
This tribulation which is directly associated with the abomination of desolation of Daniel is yet to come.
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,........And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.....And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." Mathew 24:29-31
For those who have shown a historical record that correlates to the events in Daniel it is conceivable that God has revealed the future through some of the events of the past: "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.'" Isaiah 46:9-10
There is no definitive answer as to what the “abomination of desolation” is, however Revelation 13:14-15, 14:9 & 11, 15:2, 16:2, 19:20 and 20:4 all refer to an “image of the beast,” an image of the Antichrist that is worshiped like an idol. This image is made by the people of earth as if it is an inanimate object and then is given life from the second beast, the false prophet, which enables the image of the beast to both speak and kill anyone who will not worship the image of the first beast, Revelation 13:14-15
"Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen...And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)" Deuteronomy 27:15 & 17
"For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites...Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon." 1 Kings 11:5 &7
"And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile." 2 Kings 23:13
Interestingly in Daniel chapter 3, king Nebuchadnezzar erected a statue of gold 60 cubits high and 6 cubits wide and forced all to worship the statue by royal decree. If anyone refused to worship the statue they were to be killed in a fiery furnace. Similarly the beast that causes all to receive a mark in order to buy or sell is a number of a man and that number is 666, Revelation 13:17-18. Nebuchadnezzar's statue and the mark of the beast contain three "sixes."
Daniel 9 Clarification:
"And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not (for himself): and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined." Daniel 9:26
(Note: “for himself” is not in the original Greek.)
"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." Daniel 9:27
There are some believers who believe that Daniel 9:27 refers to the Antichrist making a covenant with Israel in the future which will complete the 70th week of Daniel.
There are other believers who believe that Daniel 9:27 refers to Jesus making a covenant with His disciples, with Christians, and therefore Daniel's prophecy has been completed.
These two contrasting views illustrate the magnitude in the two different interpretations and the breakdown of unity withing the body of Christ.
A few of things to think about:
First, the Pretribulationists believe that this covenant kicks off the tribulation period and that the rapture of the Church occurs shortly before to shortly after this event. Additionally Pretribulationists assume that in the middle of the week or sometime shortly after the middle of the week in conjunction with the cessation of the sacrificial system the abomination of desolation is set up. This is pointed out not to endorse the Pretribulationists concepts put forth here but rather to demonstrate that even if these two interpretations were true they would be contradicted by the fact that the rapture does not occur until after the abomination of desolation is seen standing in the holy place. There exists no rationale by which one can assert the rapture occurs concurrent with the beginning of the 7 year covenant. Furthermore, the scripture in Daniel does not state the “abomination of desolation” as Jesus cites in Mathew 24. It states, “for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate.”
Mathew 24:15: When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place,
Dan. 9:27: for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate
The abomination of desolation standing vs. he shall make it desolate because of abominations overspreading.
Abomination of desolation standing vs. abominations overspreading
These are two different entities, two different events. Daniel 11:30-31 and 12:11 which refers to “the abomination of desolation” being placed and set up proved greater weight to Jesus referring to these prophecies in Mth. 24:15 and not Daniel 9:27.
Secondarily, there is no evidence which conveys that the tribulation is solely for 7 years commencing when the covenant is enacted. It is clear that if the covenant is established by the Antichrist as attested to by the Pretribulationists than he must have already been in possession of power and authority to confirm such a covenant. This power and authority no doubt would be being used against Christians prior to the covenant.
Those who assert that Jesus is the one the prophecy is speaking of in Daniel 9:27 confirming the covenant for one week also assert that Jesus is the one who is cut off in the middle of that week, Daniel 9:26.
The scripture is very clear, it states:
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:”
It does not state:
“And he shall confirm a one week covenant with many.”
Most interpret the scripture based upon the latter rendering but this is not what the Word of God says and therefore this is not how we should interpret it. If we are take the text as saying what it says, than the “he” is alive for the entire week confirming the covenant with many during that time. If the “he” is alive for the entire week then the “he” cannot be the “Messiah” or “Anointed” in verse 26 who or is cut off, killed, at the end of the 69 weeks, the 483 years.
Un-associated with the covenant itself except for the concurrent time period, “he” also puts and end to the sacrifice and offering during the middle of the week, yet if he is still confirming the covenant with many to the end of the week “he” cannot be Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.
